Bear Extraordinaire is a heartwarming picture book about Wendall, a blind polar bear with a big heart and an even bigger sense of adventure. When Wendall meets Ivan, a clever and kind Arctic hare who paints vivid pictures with his words, the two set off on a journey that opens up a whole new world.

Bear Extraordinaire is written for children aged 3 to 8, though its message can resonate with readers of all ages. At its heart, this story explores how we experience the world through all of our senses—not just sight. Wendall, a blind polar bear, shows young readers that limitations don’t have to hold us back. With curiosity, courage, and the help of a new friend, he sets out to “see” the world in his own extraordinary way.
